Mobile Massage

In my commitment to provide a unique and outstanding experience to all of my clients and out of consideration for my time, I have adopted the following policies:

Massage Start Time

I will arrive for your appointment 15-20 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows me the time to prepare for the service and discuss each patient’s needs before we begin. All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule and early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience. If you are unable to be at your designated location, and your late arrival is inevitable, your service may be shortened in order to keep on schedule and the original treatment time may be charged.

Payments, Fees and Cancellation Policy

Your therapy times are reserved exclusively for you. I value your business and ask that you respect my scheduling policies.

Payments are accepted via email money transfer only. The email to send payment to is eryka@erykacallaghanRMT.com

Payment in full, is due 48 hours before your treatment. If it is less than 48 hours before the treatment, it is due at booking. This is the only way to reserve your spot. If your payment is not received by 48 hours prior your treatment, your reserved appointment will be released. Upon receipt of your e-transfer, I will issue you with a confirmation of booking with payment. Once the treatment is complete, I will send you a receipt that you can submit to your insurance.

Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance.

**Any cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of treatment cost.

Should you be charged a cancellation fee, you will be issued a receipt of the fee payment. You cannot claim cancellation fees on your insurance.

In the rare instance that I need to cancel your treatment, you will be issued a full refund.

Pricing and Treatment Zones

The treatment prices are as follows, addition fees based on location - see below:

60 minutes - $200 (including HST)

Should more than 1 person require a treatment "back-to-back", in the same location. The fees are as follows:

If 2 people: 60 minutes - $175 (including HST) / each

If 3+ people: 60 minutes - $150 (including HST) / each

An additional charge may be required for distances greater than 25km outside of Kanata.

Other treatment lengths may be possible, email me to discuss.

Late Arrival / Late Start Policy

All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule; therefore, I regret that if you arrive late to your location or must start your session later than scheduled, you may not receive extension of appointments. In special cases, and when my schedule will allow, I may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment extension. This will be at my discretion and only if my schedule allows for it.

Informed Consent

Prior to each massage session, I will discuss the treatment plan with you. Your first appointment will include a 10-minute assessment to ensure I provide you with the best treatment possible.

I must review your health history and perform a full assessment prior to the commencement of any treatment plan. This is mandatory as per the CMTO Standards of Practice, Client-Centred Care.

Reservations

In order to help ensure that you obtain your desired appointments, I recommend scheduling your appointment as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. Details of my cancellation policy are provided above.

Treatment Area

I require enough clear, hazard free space to set up my table and to work around it.

Scope of Practice

A Registered Massage Therapist is an individual who is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) in accordance with the Regulated Health Professionals Act and the Massage Therapy Act. Only members of the CMTO are permitted to use the title of Registered Massage Therapist or Massage Therapist, or the designation of RMT or MT in Ontario.

A Registered Massage Therapist:

  • Is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)

  • Has completed competency-based education at a recognized school of massage therapy

  • Has successfully completed examinations to ensure that they have the necessary competencies to safely and effectively offer massage therapy care

  • Maintains their registration by participating in continuing education and a quality assurance program to ensure they maintain their high professional standards and quality of care

The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) is the regulatory body for Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) in Ontario. They protect the public interest by ensuring the competency and quality of care provided by Massage Therapists. All RMTs in Ontario are required to be registered with the CMTO. Individuals who are not registered with the CMTO are not permitted to practice massage therapy in Ontario or call themselves Massage Therapists in Ontario.

After your treatment has been paid for and completed, you will be provided with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider if you have coverage for massage therapy.

Registered Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions. There may be certain situations where I may refer you to a medical doctor for diagnosis or treatment. My services are not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions. Please refer to a medical doctor for any specific condition which requires medical treatment.

Respect for Client Needs and Boundaries

I am happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it. You may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time. You will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate and will result in the treatment being terminated immediately.

Confidentiality and Conversation

I treat all client visits and conditions as confidential. As such, I will not discuss your visit with anybody without your written permission. You may choose to talk or not talk during the massage. Conversation will be guided by the client’s direction.

Existing and New Medical Conditions

It is your responsibility to keep me informed of any medical treatment currently being taken. You must also keep me informed of any changes in health conditions.

A completed health history needs to be completed prior to the first appointment and be reviewed annually.

Please complete your health history or any other questionnaires prior to your appointment to avoid it eating into your treatment time.

Thank you for your continued support and for choosing to trust me with your health and wellbeing.
